Organizers of San Francisco’s LGBT Pride parade and celebration have announced the nominees for the 2014 grand marshals, and voting went live this week.
Sheena Easton, hailing from a small town outside Glasgow, Scotland, rocketed to stardom back in 1980 when she was signed to a record contract with EMI Records. Here’s what she had to say before headlining Fort Lauderdale Pride.

BROOKLYN PRIDE :: June 8, 2013
Brooklyn celebrated their 17th Pride this past weekend. EDGE was there to check out all of the fun.
Brooklyn Pride’s 16th Annual Pride Celebration was more than just a street fair. The stage shows were more exciting than ever before, featuring Shadinna, Manny Mango, PVaz and many more. And, of course, closure came with the night Pride parade.
It was a rainy day in NYC, but that didn’t stop the Brooklyn Pride celebration! It was a colorful, fun affair for the multicultural Brooklyn gay community. EDGE was on the scene!
Brooklyn, NYC’s most populous borough held its own very fun Gay Pride Celebration on the edge of the Prospect Park in Park Slope, the most popular neighborhood with gays and lesbians.
NEW YORK CITY PRIDE :: June 28-30, 2012
The foxy crowd knew that the best way to bring a fun Pride week to a great close was at Supersnaxx, where DJ’s Rich and Gustavo were celebrating their 10th anniversary and kept the guys dancing to their unique beat.

A huge crowd came out to enjoy an amazing time as Deborah Cox performed, and DJ’s Luis Perez, Dave Audé, and Oscar G. played some great music. But the crowd went wild when Whoopi Goldberg introduced special guest The Queen CHER!
Edith Windsor, at the age of 84, was the Grand Marshal of New York City’s Gay Pride Parade. This is the year to not only celebrate our pride, but also to celebrate victories in same-sex marriage and equality.
