Kady Z debuts her new hits from her EP One Million Pieces at XL this week.

There will be one more queen to contend with on the XL Cabaret stage on Wednesday night, Aug. 1.

Formally introduced by "Hot Mess" hosts Lady Bunny and Bianca Del Rio, emerging pop princess and the daughter of Pia Zadora, Kady Z will be making her NYC debut performing her hit single "Beautiful Disaster". The songstress is celebrating the release of her EP "One Million Pieces."

Her music, which Kady Z calls "dance music with a soul," is an infectious fusion of pop rock. Noted producer Tone Def, who was behind hits for Green Day, produced the record. "We wanted to do it right and have people slowly discover the music," the artist said about the project. "I’m taking my time and loving this new experience."

Not having the pressure of a timetable, Kady Z tempered her sound for the EP into something that would be distinctly all of her own. It’s paid off with the warm reception the lead track has been receiving by reviewers.

The first single off of "One Million Pieces" is about love and heartbreak. The revelatory video for "Beautiful Disaster" evokes her own experience with the ups and downs of a budding romance, something that Kady Z can relate to: "When there’s passion there always is some kind of beautiful disaster. You have to find the balance." She colorfully adds: "Just barf your emotions!"

Finding that balance was just as important to her as she entered into her career as a singer and performer. "You have to be comfortable and especially be yourself." Kady Z is prepared to walk the balance and prove herself of her own merits in popular music. "If you can sing it," she says, "you don’t have to say it."

The daughter of icon Pia Zadora, Kady Z exudes a charm all of her and an undeniable pop sex appeal.

Mom Always Said...

It’s no surprise that the ingenue is eager to carve her own path. She’s not only inherited her mother’s voice and beauty, she’s loaded with charisma and personality. There’s a trace of the same twinkle in her eye as Pia Zadora. "She has always been very cool," Kady Z said of Mom. "I’ve always gotten good advice from her. She’s always told be to just do it, not to fuck around."

Not that Lady Bunny will allow the starlet to take a misstep on the "Hot Mess" stage. Kady Z is humbly looking forward to performing on the bill with the drag legends. "I actually have a lot of experience with drag queens," Kady Z cheerfully admits.

Showtime is 9 p.m. Tickets are available at www.xlcaberet.com. XL Cabaret is located at 512 W. 42 St. in Hell’s Kitchen.
