MGM Resorts International Extends Health Care Benefits for Transgender Individuals

LAS VEGAS, March, 2011 - As part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining the most comprehensive benefits in the gaming and hospitality industry, MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) has extended certain benefits for individuals covered under the MGM Resorts Health Plan (PPO) who seek support for transgender medical care.

Eligible PPO members can now receive coverage for prescription medication and counseling related to transgender care.

"We are pleased to announce this policy amendment for employees and other plan members who wish to utilize this new benefit. This recent change in our policy formalizes this option as a coverage standard for eligible plan members," said MGM Resorts Chief Diversity Officer Phyllis James.
