Lou Maletta is having a yard sale. That may seem like a bland statement of fact, but for anyone who knows Maletta or has followed his career, this will set off all sorts of interesting associations.

Maletta made a name for himself as the producer of the long-running cable TV series, "Gay USA." The first program dedicated to LGBT news (or news from an LGBT perspective), "Gay USA" ran on Channel 35 in New York City and elsewhere in the country and even overseas at various times.

Maletta also produced the equally pioneering "Men on Film," the first program that explored the world of gay pornography. Maletta interviewed hundreds of porn actors and reviewed films.

But Maletta had another side of him, a side he hardly took pains to hide. Always open about his healthy appetite toward human sexuality, Maletta sponsored parties in the various locations of his studios (always in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood).

In recent years, Maletta has had health setbacks and has retired. So now, he’s parting with all of the equipment and accessories from both sides of his multifarious life.

He is selling furniture, fixtures, electronic equipment. But also bondage gear, fetish items, sexual aids and porn, porn and more porn. Anyone interested in seeing what he has (for sale!), call 917-693-4646.
