The anti-gay group One Million Moms (an organization that has yet to prove it has even 100,000 moms) released a statement taking issue with a show pitched by Jennifer Lopez that centers on a multi-ethnic lesbian couple. But the series has yet to be filmed or even a pilot.

Entertainment Weekly reports that in August, ABC Family greenlit a series pilot from Lopez’s production company called "The Fosters." The show is about two women raising a "21st century," multi-ethnic mix of foster and biological children, the Associated Press reported.

But the members of One Million Moms, a group that is affiliated with the conservative Christian organization American Family Association, are upset about the show’s premise, even though there is no pilot and the program doesn’t even have an IMDB page.

"A premiere date has not been set, but One Million Moms wanted to sound the alarm about this new series. It will be airing on the network soon unless we do something about it. They are in the beginning stages," the organization wrote on its website. "ABC Family reported the comedy-drama pilot, working with the title "The Fosters," is about two women raising a ’21st century,’ multi-ethnic mix of foster and biological kids. While foster care and adoption is a wonderful thing and the Bible does teach us to help orphans, this program is attempting to redefine marriage and family by having two moms raise these children together. One Million Moms is not sure how the explanation will be given on how the biological children were conceived. None of this material is acceptable content for a family show.

"Hollywood is continuing to push an agenda that homosexuality is acceptable when scripture states clearly it is a sin," the group goes on to warn. "As Christians, the Bible also says that we must speak up against sin. If we remain silent then we are guilty of sin also."

The moms want their supporters to email ABC Family and tell the cable station’s officials that they refuse to watch "The Fosters" and "are prepared to join thousands of other voices in urging advertisers to place it on their ’do not advertise’ list."

This isn’t the first time the group has urged a boycott because of its gay-friendly content. Last summer, One Million Moms targeted NBC’s new show "The New Normal," which focuses on a gay couple. They also went after JC Penney for hiring Ellen DeGeneres as its spokeswoman and called for a boycott against the company and the comedian, EDGE reported. But that protest was short-lived as after a few months, the group admitted defeat and called off the boycott.

The group also attacked Archie Comics for creating an issue based around a gay wedding. The moms then targeted Toys ’R’ Us for selling the comic, EDGE noted.

Ridiculous arguments. Poor gay kids that grow up with them. When I came out to my mom, she came out to me :)

Why do we even recognize or give this group and media attention??? That’s exactly what they want, and were giving them free press and power by continuing to report this crap.

This group is a joke. I mean they helped jcpenny when they tried boycotting them for supporting Ellen the company saw record setting numbers of shoppers. So who knows with their "boycott" of the show maybe it will be rushed into production. After all history shows what this group is against the rest of the country is all for.

Shouldn’t these ’moms’ be in their kitchens or cleaning something? Isn’t that the new role of evangelical women in this country? Isn’t their credo God, husband, vacuum, have down-syndrome kids at 45?
